GR Auto Gallery is excited to offer this unrestored original 1978 Chevrolet K10 Step Side 4X4 Pick Up. This K10 4X4 comes to us from the truck friendly state of Wyoming and is finished in its original factory color combination, Mahogany distressed exterior paint, over buckskin interior. Factory options to include: 350 V8, 4 speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, auxiliary fuel tank, tachometer, tow package, Silverado equipment, soft ray tinted glass, heavy duty front springs, dual exhaust, roof marker lamps, AM push button radio etc.
Today, this truck remains largely original and in the same configuration above with the exception of the original 350 V8 being replaced with a modern 5.7 liter Vortec engine with electronic fuel injection. The exterior body fit is excellent in all areas, the paint appears to be mostly original and has distressed and patina's perfectly. The interior also appears to be largely original but features a newer dash pad and the front seat appears to have been recovered in correct material. The frame and underside remain very clean and show excellent.
The truck runs and drives great, and the Vortec transplant has been masterfully executed. It starts with ease, runs and drives excellent, shifts excellent, tracks well down the road and brakes straight.
Vintage 4X4 pickups remain hot and square body Chevy's are on top of the pile. The truck here is a high quality, patinaed example with proper mechanical execution.
