Antique Chatelaine & Spectacles from South Africa Snakeskin STEAMPUNK

Description

Quite an unusual antique chatelaine for spectacles which are intact without their lenses. Rather flimsy. From South Africa, I was told the covering was snakeskin and it is metal edged with a chain and decorative belt chatelaine.  Studied the marks for awhile and believe they say W&R EPNS.  Please see photos for the most accurate descriptors and feel free to contact me with any questions.  Colors are most like those in the first photographs.
