Here is a recent estate find. This is a Rare Antique Named '19th Century' Masonic Knights Templars "Springfield Commandery" Skull & Crossbones Ceremonial K.T. Mason Sword with Scabbard and Ornate Signed Etched Blade, Circa 1890. This is a Rare Masonic Sword with With Ebony Wood Handle with Knights Head Pommel. It has a Unique Counter Guard with "Skull and Crossbones" in the Center, and a Snake Wrapped Cross on the Other Side. This has a Chrome Plated Scabbard with Applied Metal Trim, Including a "Cross and Crown", which Represents the York Rite of Free Masonry, and Medieval Knight Imagery.The Blade is Signed By The Maker "The Gaylord Mfg. Co. Chicopee Mass", and Etched with the Former Owners name "Emerson Gaylord" on One Side, and "Springfield Commandery" on the Other. The Sword measures approx. 36 1/4" Long with the Scabbard. The Sword itself measures approx. 34 3/4" Long with a 28 1/8" Blade, Overall Good Original Condition As Pictured, With a Nice Aged Patina! The Scabbard has an Ornate Crusader's Cross Medieval Knight Tip. The Sword Fits Nicely in the Scabbard, Overall Good Original Condition with Normal Wear From Age, Very Clean, Click and Enlarge Photos for Details. T
