An elegant pair of antique Victorian 15K yellow gold paste and green garnet doublet floral dress studs in original fitted box. These stylish Victorian dress studs/buttons were-and still are-used as traditional buttons for the dress shirt under a tuxedo, James Bond being the biggest fan of them! These three solid 15K yellow gold studs are in the form of a wonderful flower's head with three electric glowing green square cut paste and green garnet doublets (a popular design in the 19th century where a thin natural green garnet sits on top of green paste) multi prong set in raised open settings. The studs come in their original Victorian fitted leather, velvet and silk box. The studs are unmarked and test for 15K gold. The studs measure approximately 4mm across the stones. From front to back they measure about 8mm. The three studs have a total weight of approximately 1.8 grams. The dress studs are in very good condition with general wear.
