The watch is a work of art in yellow, pink, white and green gold;  the applied work is very thickly encrusted on the yellow gold case.    It comes with a 30" pink gold slide chain.
It is in superb condition for an old watch -- no scratches, no dings, or problems with case or movement that I can see.  The face and crystal are likewise in excellent condition ( see last photo).
As I write this it is running and keeping time.   It has been kept in climate controlled storage by my family since we got it about 30 years ago.  It was probably made around 1890, give or take.
The watch case is about 1-1/2 inches in diameter.  The watch, including case, movement ,crystal and slide chain, weighs about 68 grams.
Right now I cannot open the back of the watch but I saw it open when we purchased it.  The movement was in good clean condition and has been tightly enclosed. There are tools available to open the back of a watch case like this., if desired.   It is not supposed to open easily,  in order to protect the movement.
The inside of the watch case says 14k (solid, not warranted or plated).   Watch case and watch chain have been professionally tested and test as 14k solid gold.
